Riots

Voice One:
(Riot or city noises)
Riots broke out in our city the day Martin Luther King was killed. I was in 7th grade and my classmates bad-mouthed him, saying his death was long overdue. I stood up and said I thought he was a great leader. A classmate called me a bad name and I sat down, embarrassed.

Narrator:
Today John mediates conflicts all over the world.

Voice One:
It's time we learn to solve problems with words instead of weapons.

Voice two:
This moment of healing and hope from the Mennonite churches.
